YUP, just call me Miss Content. I was a nervous wreck as a child, stuttered, blinked my eyes rapidly, continuously, jerked my head/neck constantly, and cracked my jaw till it was sore... ALL at the same time. And I went into the hospital with a bleeding ulcer by the 5th grade. I grew up on Librium 25mg four times a day. And most people could not tell that I was taking anything. I was a mess. Then the Doc finally convinced me that NOTHING was worth all that! And he was so right! So I stopped talking, and so stopped stuttering. Got a few whippings from daddy on that one. lol And the pills helped a lot with all the rest. Slowed them down, and stopped most for long periods at a time. Now I don't fret over spilled milk, it just ain't that important. So yes, I have learned my lesson well, as the song says. lol I easily turn the other cheek, and walk away. God is good!
Goreti, I hate to think about you throwing away anything because I am sure it is lovely. And, Bonnie, you are probably a lot more content than those of us that fret over everything....something I have been trying to overcome my whole life :o)
And a very good morning to you, Goreti, my dear. This explains why your work, be it a flower, or a dragon, is always superb. You care what it looks like, and strive for perfection in all things 'cake'.
It might just be because I started all this so late, but I make it, look at it, if I really want it for a certain project, I might even make it a second time,...BUT, I am usually satisfied enough with the first one, and don't worry about it too much! (or not at all-lol).
I usually will try anything I see, at least once..., then I am satisfied, and move on to the next thing. Maybe I am afraid of running out of time to do it all! lol
Remember that my philosophy is that I would rather try/do a little bit of everything, than a lot of just a few things. lol I think most would just call that 'laid back, while a few would even add them words, just plain lazy! lol Hee-hee-hee I am definitely NOT a perfectionist, but LOVE to see it in others!
Bonnie, 99% of the flowers are do I have no need for them. I have them on display in my china cabinet. I'm running out of room so I'm going to be throwing some out. Any of them that don't make the grade, out they go.
OF COURSE!! lol
That's is all I do, as well, Bonnie, projects for family and friends. I think that is the main reason I wanted to enter the fair cake, to make something a lot bigger and of my own choosing than what I can do otherwise. Of course, the cake will be fake!
Thanks Sandra, I have to admit, it was one of the better ones in class that night. Ha Ha Ha And I have not made one since. Have had no need to. Remember, I have only done family projects.
Your lily is beautiful, Bonnie, especially for your first one.
aw !!!keep up the good work !
Thanks Guys for visiting all my site. This was my first, and may be my last, lily. lol
