I bought these at a cake decorating supply store nearby. I believe it was made by PME. Global Sugar Arts has stencils on line and they are really nice. If you find a flexible plastic stencil in a craft shop, you can use that as well. Just make sure all the cutouts are flat or the icing will bleed underneath it.

Where do you find stencils to use on cakes? Do you just use any stencil or did you find stencils specifically for cakes?

Thank you Anita! First I stenciled it on lightly with royal icing, then I piped over it with royal icing in certain areas where I want to give it a little more dimension.
