Decorated in the Nirvana method, this cake has gumpaste "floating" collars. Cake is covered with black fondant. All decorations are cut by hand out of gumpaste. Details are piped in royal icing.

I really love this cake. It reminds me so much of a style my mum used to use in her heyday and I get a twinge of remembrance every time I look at it. My Mum has been gone 12 years now, but when she was younger, when she made a cake - boy did she make a cake!
