Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. The poinsettia petals and leaves are made from fondant mixed with tylose. The stamens are made from gumpaste and sparkling sugar. All elements of the flower included hand painting with several shades of luster and petal dust. Lastly, I gave the cake a light sprinkle of twinkle dust for a cute touch of sparkle (although I can't really see that in the pic). Thank you for looking! :-)

I like this cake - looks really classic - I hate dealing with buttercream! So - well done!
