This brides colors were royal blue and burgandy. The cake is red velvet with classic red velvet frosting covered in white pearlized fondant. Clean and simple for a small wedding

Thank you. They take a great deal of time and I make them lifesize. They are made of gumpaste and I start with a dark color, in this case burgundy and with each layer of petals as I move out I add an equal batch of white to lighten the color of the next row of petals. I press them in a silicon mold from sugarcraft that gives them such a realistic look most people smell them. My mother made porcelain roses when I was young and porcelain dolls so I really wanted to get the art down to do credit to what she did. She won one of the honorable mention prizes of $100.00 from Michael's mother's day contest for her work which inspired mine.
