Inside - looks a little more dense than Sandra's and I was concerned that it looked like it wasn't quite cooked in the middle. But I needn't have worried, it was and hubby gave it his seal of approval.

It was lovely Becky, yes. I baked it in an 8" round, 4" deep. There was a lot of batter there!
haha Goreti - it's all just a trap to keep us on our toes!
It is delicious, I have to say. We had a small slice warmed up in the microwave last night, with some vanilla ice cream. Very nice..........
This looks delicious. Katy, I had to laugh at your comment. You would think that English would be English. It is actually the same thing in Portuguese. There is a slight difference from the mainland to the Azorean islands and forget the Portuguese spoken in Brazil. Some common words that the Portuguese use are insults in Brazil. lol
Phew - glad to hear you guys think it looks OK. The outside was quite crunchy - really nice. btw I've discovered that when Americans say granulated sugar, we probably need to use caster sugar (which is what I did with this), as your granulated is much finer than ours..........why can't we all just have the same darn thing!!!!!!!!!!!?
This looks perfect, Katy....so moist and yummy. Makes me want another one. Glad you and Mick enjoyed it.
Looks very good. It's the moistness from the apples that makes it look "not quite done" but it always is.Good crumb on it...My apple cake looks the same way.
