Very moist and not too sweet. Made with fresh apples, served with Dulce de Leche - Recipe from the Allrecipes site.

Great Sandra! I'll see if I can get my head around your US measurements..............
yum!! ; )
LOL - really easy to make, Katy. I will post the recipe because it is delicious and even works for breakfast.
I tell you, if I were to just warm that through slightly, sprinkle caster sugar over the top of it and then give it to my husband with some vanilla ice cream and double cream - HE WOULD NEVER, EVER LEAVE ME! lol - not that he would anyway...............
Gali, I am so happy that you enjoyed your fruit cake :o)
Goreti, I know exactly what you mean. Just had a little sliver to see if it is, in fact, better the second day and....YES IT IS! It is a delicate flavor and I like it better without the dulce de leche, just plain. Gali, this cake is so easy to make, you should, for sure, make it for your man! I will post the recipe - you will love it, too.
Thank you Goreti, Inoka, Betty, Katy and Gali! This is a very good cake, but I did make several changes to the original recipe (naturally - that's what we do :o). Betty, it made the whole house smell divine and I, too, use Granny Smith apples. The recipe called for two apples, but I used three and substituted applesauce for 1/3 of the oil. We all liked it, so it is a keeper.
I haven't made this one in years but I do remember it. It is delicious. Not something I want hanging around the house because I would end up eating way too much. I love anything with apple & cinnamon.
I never made apple pound cake ! but , listen woman !!! your killing me to ,, just finished the fruit cake , yes , 75 % I ate by myself ,,, :p~~~~~``` so good , I just could not pass it bye without eating it !
yummy ! my man would go nuts over this
