bauhinia

Had some leftover gumpaste so decided to try something I had never done. Not sure if I got the size of the petals right. This was done totally freehand. Not cutters, used corn husk to vein the bauhinia petals. Vein on leaves done with cocktail stick. Broke one of the petals when putting it together so decided to make it look like insects had gotten to it.

@Sandra, not much in the way of cake things in the area. A local college does have a contest but I always remember it too late.
