bauhinia
Had some leftover gumpaste so decided to try something I had never done. Not sure if I got the size of the petals right. This was done totally freehand. Not cutters, used corn husk to vein the bauhinia petals. Vein on leaves done with cocktail stick. Broke one of the petals when putting it together so decided to make it look like insects had gotten to it.

I can sometimes make a leaf, sometimes, but when I try to wrap the stem..., all bets are off! I break it loose from the petal, leaf, then it falls off, or I actually break it just working with it. Then the wrapping job comes undone, etc... SOOOO , I can appreciate one done right when I see it!

The little "nibbles" just make it look more real. Beautiful!
