65th birthday cake for my brother. He has always loved rabbits and had them as pets when we were kids. The tortoise is a reference to an old joke between us that goes back donkeys years to a T-shirt I bought him. He loved it so much he wore it to work the next day (completely inappropriate for an accountant at the Economist), but that is him all over!
Genoese sponge 3 layer filled with lemon and lime marmalade and lemon buttercream. Thin top layer of chocolate cake pop mix for the mud. Hand crafted models from 50/50

haha thanks Betty - yes he was supposed to look really cheeky!
i agree with Sandra, love your sculpting, you do a great job. Love that grin on the tortoise.
Thanks Adrian! x
Love it Katy
Good enough! Glad he enjoyed it :o)
That's really nice of you to say Sandra, modelling is really not my strong point, but i do try. No pictures I'm afraid, he's a bit sensitive about that sort of thing, so we don't..........but he loved the cake and immediately got the tortoise reference!
This is adorable, Katy! You are so good at sculpting figures. Love, love the turtle! You must get pictures and report his reaction :o) Oh yeah, it sounds like a delicious cake, too!
