I have been providing this recipe from a post by doobsd for sometime to other members. Thought it would be easier for everyone if it were in the recipe section. Want to give doobsd credit, though she didn't post it.

Piping Gel That Works

Ingredients

• 1/3 cup sugar 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (cornflour) 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup water

Instructions

1. Whisk sugar and cornstarch (cornflour) in a small saucepan.
2. Gradually add juice and then the water. Make sure there are no lumps.
3. Stir over medium/high heat until mixture boils and thickens.
4. Color as desired.
5. Will last about a month or so in the 'fridge.

Yes I would love to know the recipe for the piping gel. 

Do you mind posting the link here so I could check it out. Still very confused on how to browse through around this website. But will definitely get used to it slowly.

this is awesome , . I did find after storing it for 2 yr's , it a little dull , lol!

Hi Katrina!  Gali has it posted in "Forums".  It was a little hard to find, so I copied it for you.  Here it is:

Posted: Sun Apr 06, 2008 7:01 am  I found this a while ago, don't remember where, but I saved it and never tried it.  "Saw a few posts asking how to make gold and silver for piping.....found this recipe and thought I would share it:  2 teaspoons Powdered Sugar  2 teaspoons Gold, Silver or Metallic Dusting Powder  Clear Alcohol (Gin or Vodka)  1 teaspoon Piping Gel  On a small ceramic plate, mix sugar and dusting powder. Add a few drops of clear alcohol (gin or vodka is suggested) and mix with a small palette knife to create a stiff paste.  Add the piping gel, a little at a time, mixing well until the consistency for piping is reached. Use a very small piping bag and tip as needed. The leftovers can be put into a small container and stored in the refrigerator. It will keep indefinitely. YOU NEED 4 GRAMS FOR THIS ! PLUS YOU CAN ADD MORE POWDER SUGAR , YOU WILL LOVE IT ! Gali also has a recipe for homemade piping gel posted in the forum, if you are interested.  Welcome!
