Oh no Gail

I haven't been doing cakes that long. This was for a aquantance at church. Just got $$$ for supplies.  My son was in rep hockey & lacrosse, from the age of 8, and we were on the go with both all the time. So all my caking went on the back burner.  I did a slew of b-day, communion, confirmation cakes.  But they were 1 shot events.  Didn't take caking back up till 15-18 yrs later for nieces shower/wedding cake. Then Sam's wedding cake.... then I was hooked again.  Just wish I would get the occasional cake to do now besides family.  Just not enough events for cakes.  :o(

You can't really see the bc icing. After all, this is a picture of a picture. But I was surprised how smooth it looked. Of course, Fondant didn't exsist then.
