The coach. I wanted it to be really regal, but still something my four year old daughter could relate to. Lots of gold! Yeah! The ball cake was covered in fondant and then I added details with royal icing. The wheels & finial are made from gumpaste.

Hi Michelle, I used a sphere/ball tin. You can normally hire them from your local professional cake supplier. It pretty much holds it's own - I added an extra blob of grey Fondant (slightly moistened) under the ball once it was covered in Fondant to attach it to the board. The wheels I dried overnight until they were solid. I painted them and attached with royal icing once id added all the detail I wanted. T:)
