Hi Michelle,
Many thanks for your comments. Cinderella took me 6.5 hours and the coach a further 8 hours. I wanted her skirt to be really full, so instead of using a basin or dress tin I used a 6" & an 8" cake stacked, then carved. The left over cake I mixed with buttercream (think cakepop) and used it to add extra volume. I then added the frills. The overskirt started as one layer, but to achieve the extra pleats I cut separate lengths of blue and tried to create a crinolin effect. The lace on the edge of the blue was piped royal icing. The look on my daughters face was worth every moment this took to make :)

how long did this cake take u to makee?
