I didn't know you weren't supposed to wash strawberries!!  I've been washing mine for all these years!

Half of mine are on the 'trashcan' garden, the other 3 in the ground(small garden version).  The trashcan ones are clean, they get watered daily!  Never thought of straw though, so thanks for that one too!

we use straw under our strawberry's so no dirt it keeps them off the ground .

. . its not good to wash them .yup that's me Sandra ..

I only have 6 strawberry plants, so I pick them & eat them on the spot as they get ripe, dirt & all! lol

thank  you all so much . yes having fun with the deco clay . my girls have been asking me to make flowers for them ,with it for years .. Sandra no local any thing around here, lol that's why I don't get out shopping much ... been trying to get to the P.O. for 2 wks now .. eeerrr , well not yet ... :( I go shopping about once a mo. my B.F .PICKS up stuff for me ,
