Here's the spray I put together from the flowers I made at Les's on Monday. They weren't dry enough to assemble then. The leaves Les had already done and gave them to me to take home along with some peach roses to play around with!

thank you all so much.  Bonnie, I really was not that good at doing flowers.  They always looked a bit clumpy to me!  Although I knew it in my heart, it was brought home to me the importance of BEING PATIENT!  Hook your wire before you insert it into your cone for your rose - leave that to dry overnight before attaching your petals.  Get a metal ball tool, instead of plastic.  I used Les' to see how it felt compared to mine and the difference was amazing!  Less pressure, better frill.  Mix two petal dusts together before dusting to give a more natural look - for example on the roses (although you can't see it in the picture), I mixed pearl ivory with lime green and just dusted the very deep inside part of the petal.  Makes it look more natural and amazing how much extra depth it gives it, rather than just leaving it plain white.  How to make jasmine - easy peasy lol!  How to use a mexican hat board properly.  It was just lots of little things that you don't know but when you see someone else do it, becomes so obvious!

Really pretty Katy. You put it together so nicely, just the right positions, love the dusted orchid.

This is quite a posy!  So your lesson/visit went well?  Aside from playing around, and having some fun, did you learn anything new to share???! lol  You already did all these quite well, my dear!  So are there any new tricks to teach an old dog like me?? lol

This is absolutely gorgeous, Katy!  You did not need anyone holding your hands at all!  Beautiful orchid.
