Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Just a quickie cake for our neighbours who kindly fed our pond fish and watered our pot plants while we were in Belgium. Good old tried and tested Victoria sponge (Mary Berry recipe, who else?) with strawberry jam filling. Decorated with hand made flowers etc from bits of leftover fondant and gumpaste. Almost got the fondant smooth too - wow.

Thanks Holly.  I'm sure it won't happen again - just a sheer fluke as it wasn't a cake that really, really mattered!

Cherish the day when I can get my fondant that smooth!  Nicely done, Miss Katy!
