Really cute!
cool ;x
lol June - I'm sure Daisy would be a nightmare. She scares the crap out of me when she handles a knife - talk about a cow with a gun,......
I have heard of palm kernel flakes, but I just add a heaping tblsp of shortening, and that smooths out the chocolate. I know you are suppose to dip x's 2, but since I knew I was going to decorate them, and they were just for family, didn't bother.
June I purchased palm kernels flakes, add it to your chocolate and it thins it so you get a smooth , covering ,but you need to dip x2 or 3 to get it all nice and thick coating ,
Well you don't know Katy, but I treated myself to a Babycakes brand cake pop maker. Kind of like a waffle iron for cake pops. Cook in 6-8 min. Hey.... it was on sale.... it was cheap. Certainly not kid friendly tho.... gets extremely hot. Daisy could never operate it without your help or should could burn herself.
They're awesome June - really pretty. I can't be dealing with making them either. A right P in the A!
Like I said to Gail, they are a lot of work, even tho they look & taste great. I cannot imagine urning out 30+ all decorated with chocolate, or fondant plus, plus fancy embellishments.. You would have to charge big $$$$ for all the labour. No thanks.
They look so pretty. I have never made cake pops but I can imagine the amount of work involved!
I must admit, if you you use the cake pop cake pan, they do come out perfectly round. But I got the hang of dipping pretty fast. It is the rolling & twising of the pop in your hand to get off the excess chcocolate. Mine were a bit "lumpy".... so I hid it with the flowers. I will try that babycakes again. I think if I put in less batter, I will get a rounder shaped pop.
