Thanks Gail & Linda... :o)
Gail: Remember I told you I broke the 1st Lily I made. Second time, with this one, I made the petals much thicker. Placed it on a flower former and put in the freezer right away. Then after 10 min, I took it out. Before it came to room temp, I put it in a mini clay pot coated with a small amt of shortening, where it fit in perfectly. It was thawed enough to bend the petals over the side of the pot. That was it, let it sit over night to get hard. Was a bit tense taking it out, was afraid it would break again... whew... it didn't. I then painted the green on the petals, very dark, then wiped the excess off. I did cheat for the stamens. I took them from a silk flower. I "doctored" them by dying the stems green, added yellow fondant at the tips & rubbed them in corn meal to look "fuzzy". :o)
I think we need a tut , I know I do lol the way June did the top flower is awesome
