A shared birthday for my granddaughter and stepson - one 13, the other 49! A mix of red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and chocolate fudge swirl and Victoria sponge cupcakes filled with strawberry jam and topped with vanilla buttercream.
I hate putting candles on cakes, but my family insists on them somewhere, so rather than put them on Daisy's meringue cake, I put them on the cupcakes and had a 'joint blowing out' ceremony!

Thanks Luz - yes, I could get more on that way!
They sound delcious Katy. Good idea to put the candles on the cupcakes not on the cake.
Gosh Betty - you must have a huge oven, that would never fit into mine!
I have a 24 cup one, it was given to me by a friend. I use 2&1/2 " cupcake wrappers. Baking 2 doz at a time is great.
I have a 12 hole tin, but of course I'm in the UK. Seems strange that we would have something you guys don't, it's usually the other way around! It also has rubber grips either end and is a great pan
Thank you Katy, Been trying to find the tall ones and a larger pan, The jumbo size only a 6 count, And I'm looking for one that's a 12 count. Don't even know if anyone have them.
Thanks all. Adrian, I use the large ones - almost muffin size and bake them in a muffin tin.
Cute...
Nice work, sounds good.
Katy these look delicious, If you don't mind me asking what size cupcake liners did you use ?
