I used gum paste. I cut and softened the edges with a ball tool and let them dry in foil.I pressed foil in to bowl shapes using a Wilton lily nail set. When they were dry I brushed peacock blue and silver dust on them. To finish them I stuck sugar pearls in the centers with royal icing .There isnt wire stems on them because the bride said not to ,so they were tricky to place on the branch.I couldn't find any on line info.on how to make cherry blossoms with gum paste. Maby I can bribe a assistant so I could make a you tube video?

Wow your cake turned out so beautiful. I love the way you did the flowers. How did you make them?

I added the cherry Blossom cake picture.Over all it was a success. It too an hour and a half to decorate at the church. Everyone liked it.

I had the hardest time finding any help on cherry blossoms so I made them with like I would lily's with royal frosting. I made the petals smaller and colored them like cherry blossoms. I also bought stamens to put in the middle instead of frosting.

I have to do a 3 tier wedding cake in blue cherry blossoms. How did you cut the flowers? I have cutters but none say they are for cherry blossoms.
