Yes, Katy, silence is golden :). Sandra, I wasn't thrilled w/the cake but was thrilled by both my sister-in-law & brother-in-law's reaction to their cakes. Not just the oohs & aahhs that usually come but the deep, heartfelt emotion that each one expressed. I guess you could say my feelings were more on the line of feeling that I had accomplished something much more than just making them a cake. They made me feel that I had captured their personalities in these cakes. Like I was an artist who had painted their portraits. How's that saying go..."love covers a multitude of sins"? In this case, their love & appreciation covered a multitude of flaws :-)

I don't know how you could be anything but be thrilled with this beautiful cake, Denise!  Nothing in this world is ever without flaws (although I certainly don't see any).  I love everything about this cake and know just how your sister felt.  Her reaction alone should make this one of your favorites :o)

Thank you so much everyone. Ran into a few problems with this one & ended up having to disguise quite a few errors. I didn't point any of them out though. I just stood silently as my sister-in-law held her hands to her heart, gasped in amazement when she first saw it, & told me it was exactly what she wanted.
