Thank you so much for your sweet words, Becky!  The clay I used is an air dry type and personally, I hated it.  I didn't like the way it felt to my hands, sort of gritty unlike silky smooth fondant and gum paste.  The workability was similar, but it probably wouldn't roll as thinly.  It probaby was a bit more sturdy after it dried and it is not affected by heat and humidity. Give me modeling chocolate any day for this type sculpture!

GORGEOUS!!!  Is clay hard to work with?  Do you have to "bake" it or does it dry like fondant?  Love the gold and the green tones in this.  You are so good with sculpting..

You are so sweet, Goreti!  There is certainly no reason for you to envy me...unless you aspire to make dragons...because you talent is boundless.  You are in the Alan-Christine class when it comes to making flowers and I will never achieve that level!

She has a wire armature and a couple of tail feathers terminate as anchor wires.  Thanks for your sweet words, Katy!

Completely fabulous!  I assume you had some kind of structure underneath Sandra?
