I really hate to put anything inedible on my cakes, but the "diamond wrap" was the only way to achieve the look they wanted yet stay within their budget! Everything else was edible :)

Definitely, Katy Nott , I always use coffee stirrers inserted into the cake 1st when using wired flowers, and am a big fan of bamboo skewers and toothpicks for fondant figures. Lollipop sticks too! Thanks everyone for the kind comments :)

I know what you mean Paige - I'm really funny about using anything inedible, even down to supports in figurines. this is a stunning cake though
