After patching the torn fondant with the chocolate fondant daisy cut outs, I started sticking on some of the bigger daisies I had made, on top of some of the chocolate ones.... Then decided to add the med. sized ones to the ends of the streamers. Then I took the next 2 smaller sizes & covered up some of the stretch marks on the fondant. When I started adding the butterflies, Pat came back around... The back of the cake now looked good enough to be the front! She was pleased that I had not given up on it, and I was very pleased with the results. When I asked about the 2 different sizes of GREEN fondant leaves that I had made, we all decided that THAT would be overkill! lol

Talk about critical!  I couldn't even figure out for a while what you were talking about.  The board is lovely and why not tuck it under?!

No, I used an impression 'mat', called 'Graceful Vines' , got it at Michaels, when it was on sale. I only get one expensive thing at a time, because they give me 40% off the highest priced item.   And I did not know to trim it even with the outer edge of the board, so I just tucked it under.  It appears that I didn't quite get it centered either. lol

I think is turned out great!  I agree, the leaves would have probably taken away from the design.  Did you do the base with an impression roller?
