this is very yummy ! still and all , a bit to much chocolate for me !if you love chocolate like most normal pep's , you will love this !

Yes Gail....I think it would. The ganache would go hard anyway...but the bc would help it not to be too sweet. Think I'm going to have to experiment...... :o)

Ahhhh....now I understand Gail. So you did mix the two for the filling. Do you think you could have covered the whole cake with that mixture?? Would it have "set up"? Wondering if the mixture could be smoothed flat??

no JUNE  the mix of ganache and buttercream is the filling , lol ! the coving on the cake is all ganache !

Ok ladies
I read through all these posts, and I want to get my facts straight.
Bonnie: are you wanting to do both ganache & bc on your cake, at the same time?? Or were you just wanting recipes for both? Then try them out?
Gail: did you ganache your cake, then add bc icing over top? Or did you mix your ganache & bc together...then used that mixture to cover your cake?
I too have about 10-12 lbs to lose. Worst winter ever. Stuck indoors with the terrible weather we had. Went to x-cerise class only twice a week...too cold & wasn't motivated to go mall walking....

I have been trying on clothes for 2 days, part of spring cleaning, and the worse part of it was having to look in the mirror so many times!  According to my doc, I need to loose 25 lbs., so 'death by chocolate ganache' just might be the way to go! lol
