Here's hoping!  Fingers crossed, eyes crossed, & trying my best to cross my toes!

No, really though, I just now tried both.  The Crisco made it shine.  Good!  The cocoa butter left a hazy, or yellowish sheen, I really hoped that it would work, because of the flavor it would have imparted, but did not go well with the chocolate.  Bad

Thanks for the suggestions!

I think you can also melt the butter in the cream while you are heating it.  This article may be of interest to you both -

Bonnie - you can add a little butter to your ganache while it's runny and warm and beat it in.  It will add a gloss to it.  You can also use oil or corn syrup.

Gail, thanks again for the recipe, and the encouragement!  The next time I just might get up enough nerve to do this again.  My son' anniversary, & his son's(MY ETHAN!) BD, are both next week.  I have a question...

How do you keep it shiny, mine looks dry & dull in places.

I will tell you a secret.  I had enough batter, after halving the original recipe, to do another 6" cake just for me, which I also filled with the choc. caramel, and then poured on the ganache.  The only thing missing were the roses! lol  I had a piece last night before bed, and 2 already today!  It is really delicious!!  Your hubby must love having you around! lol
