This cake turned out to be a royal pain!! Made fondant, colored. Daughter wanted icing, as she doesn't like fondant. Made "vegan" icing. Piped the cake. Daughter & I go to dinner, come home, go for a hour walk. Come home, check the cake. ALL THE ICING ON THE FRONT FELL OFF! Got mad, cleaned the mess. Made more icing with just shortening. Went to bed. Wake up, have coffee, re-pipe, take a pic.... then don't give a darn if it falls off again. I'm done finished with this one! :o)

Gorgeous shoe and purse! I don't think non-cake people understand that to us, creating a cake is the same as an artist putting paint on a canvas....a lot of your heart and a little of your soul goes into each one (almost everyone, anyway). That is why it is so fulfilling when the recipient loves it or so heart breaking if he doesn't.
Thanks Dee Sam, my daughter, loved it. :o)
HAHA! "Got mad" "...don't give a darn if it falls off again." June, that made my day! I love that you actually say what I feel when things like that happen. This is a beautiful cake - the shoe is unbelievable!
Of course, Katy, and also with a megaphone so everyone can hear us from the bleachers! (whistles between teeth...YAY!!!! JUNE!)

Linda, I hope you were jumping up and down and waving some pom poms while you were saying that!
