Tiara is gumpaste with silver petal dust. Flowers are gumpaste. Pink around layers and balls are fondant. WASC cake with Sugarshak's buttercream. Buttercream and fondant flavored like cotton candy.

Jennifer, yes, I used a clay extruder to make the pieces for the tiara.

Soooo lovely! I was wondering about the tiara - what is an extruder?

works best with gumpaste though, haven't had too much luck with fondant. Fondant gets crumbly before it is stiff enough to use, at least for me.

I hadn't thought about the extruder. What a great idea!

Thank you, it is actually made using gumpaste and a clay extruder. I tried royal icing and it shattered into a bunch of pieces as soon as I picked it up. This one is still in one piece 5 months later.

This is just beautiful... Is the crown made with Royal Icing?
