Tia, my husband's 4-years-old neice, asked me for Hello Kitty cupcakes and I thought it's a chance to try hand-cutting some cartoon faces. I don't think they're so neat, I need a better tool to cut the patterns; but the hearts & flowers are all my new cutting set (first trial)... These are super-easy & neat.
And Oh... Off course, feeling so challenged by the lovely work of you ladies on CWB, I was so tempted to try the baby shoes! Got the pattern from the net and I think next time, they'll be perfect.
These are banana cupcakes with banana flavoured buttercream topped with marshmallow fondant.

Mai, you did a great job. Love your booties!
I agree with everything Katy said. DON'T compare yourself to other more experienced cakers here Mai. Use them for reference & inspiration sure, but you will drive yourself crazy if you do that!! :o)
Mai - practice makes perfect. I think your booties are excellent. Yes, you need a sharper cutter for your edges to be a bit neater perhaps. Or you can leave for a short while after you've cut them, then run around the edges with your finger to smooth them out.
Thanks Katy for the encouragement... Quite needed here :)
Fine job Mai. The booties are great
