Just practing my roses and colours. This is not how I envisioned my rose would look like when I started. My leaves are dreadful. This is a area where I need much practice. I only have one rose leaf cutter, and it does not look like the "real thing". Plus the colour wasn't dark enough with the right hue to it. Oh well..... practice makes perfect... right?? :o)

June, use the small spoons for the smaller petals and the bigger ones for the larger petals. You can use those plastic spoons too. I will tag you on Facebook, on how I do them.

Thanks Goreti, Gail, Sandra & Katy

Appreciate everyones compliments and your constructive critisim. So valuable.

Goreti: Do you mean roll a small ball of green gumpaste to attach, or a piece of tape???

Gail: Yes I got a cell board with a Wilton kit, but confess, I have never used it.... guess I better dig it out an try, eh???? Also thanks for the tip for the leaves, you would know being a former florist.

Sandra: Thanks for encouragement.... patience isn't one of my virtues....

June, when I have a problem attaching the leaf to the wire, I just roll a piece of gumpaste use it to attach the wire to the leaf.  Hope this makes sense.  I can't tell you how many times I've done this.

June, the rose is wonderful - such a gorgeous colour.  I too have a terrible time with wiring leaves - too thick a wire and it keeps breaking through, too thin and it doesn't hold the leaf up.  I have a board, but just cant do it well with that either.  That's why I liked doing the violet leaves, the wire went on top of the leaf and then you folded the leaf over and back again.  Practice my friend.

I want to go too...all you need is "lots" of patience...There are so many flowers that you have to do in stages, and the rose is one of them..
