i use the tylose to make the fondant gumpaste , do to i dont go out to the stores to offten to buy gumpaste , and when you add tylose you have home made gumpaste , 1/2 teaspoon to 6oz of fondant , , more or less you can use depends on how fast you want it to harden , with a damp brush you can dust them off with , or a brush that was touched a tiny bit in crisco , they will shine both ways and be clean , also if you dont want them to shine use the peatal dust , the same color s as your flowers , or just about the same color ,

Queen of the Flower indeed you are!  These are just beautiful!  Gail, I see you often use this combination of fondant and tylose.  Not having had much practise with flower making, I wonder if you can tell me why you do that and what sort of proportions you use?  Also, I have just had a go at making some (very amateur!) flowers this afternoon, using just fondant, in black and white effect.  Do you have any suggestions as to what I can use on them now to clean off the cornstarch dust from the rolling and make them shine a bit?
