Family requested a cheesecake. This is an orange/chocolate cheesecake. Since I had made the poinsettia, I decided to make a frosting with whipped cream, pudding & a little ps and treat it like a regular cake.

The poinsettia is perfect... I wish I could have watched you make it...! Just beautiful Goreti!!!
Mia, I used tip no. 32 and did it like you would do the regular petal effect by pulling it with the spatula. I also didn't want the color even so I did totally mix it in so that some spots were lighter than others.
What a unique take on the poinsettia, this cake is so awesome! What kind of a pastry tip did you use to achieve that look? Bravo!!
Good choice!!!!
Tx June. When I decided to make the poinsettia, I wanted to make something a little different. I googled yellow poinsettia images. When I saw this type, I knew that was the one I wanted to do.
Love this. Your ponsettia is both pretty and unusual. Slightly different colours than the average ponsettia, which makes yours so very unique. And your icing looks like "peppermint" candy, that's cool.
And thank you both. I feel like you two are my own cheering squad. lol
It was yummy. I was thinking of making a different type of cake to use the poinsettia but my daughter LOVES cheesecake. So I figured I would frost it with cheesecake pudding with whipped cream and used some orange zest to tie in with the cheesecake flavor.
Beautiful,as usual. You did fantastic work !Good job!
WOW! Your poinsettia is beautiful, Goreti! This cake looks so yummy!
