Red Velvet/French Vanilla Cake covered with Buttercream fondont

Next time I'll know that Red Velvet doesn't hold up well with fondont. =P

Yes, it is rolled buttercream fondont... I didn't really have a bleeding problem so much as a 'colaspsing' problem... lol  I still tasted yummy tho. ;)  I also think my fondont may have been a little problem maker too, it was very very soft.  Seemed the weight of it dragged the cake down.  Im new to all this and figure things out as I go.  I have no teacher by my mistakes. =)

I have used fondant on red velvet too no problems... hmmm what kind of fondant did you use?

Is that rolled buttercream Ashley? I've covered red velvet cake with fondant before and never had bleeding
