"Bloom Where You're Planted"

This cake was a first for me and Suzanne (my daughter). It was made to replicate a "pillow" that the mother of a friend of Suzanne's had. The actual "pillow" was a Mary Engelbreit design and one that Emily's (Suzanne's friend) mother had and loved. Emily wanted to surprise her mother with a Mary Engelbreit inspired birthday cake so she managed to sneek the pillow out of the house for us to use as a reference. It's buttercream with gumpaste decorations.
