I used simple buttercream for this wedding cake, at the time it was winter so I didn't have any problems. I made the cake in advance and let it rest in the fridge for 24 hours before I placed the sugar jewels. Thanks for asking.
Beautiful, I absolutely love the colors on this cake. I noticed the gems were placed on a buttercream base...did you have any problems with them slipping down?
