My first attempt at modelling! Is it because he's green, or is it the eyes? Not sure, but I'm the only person I know who can make a cute little kiddie thing look like something out of a horror film..........don't turn your back on this fella! The flower was based on a creeping geranium in the garden.

Yes, Katy, I should say, whether you enhance the eyes or not, he is still cute as a button. The nice thing about fondant figures is they can look any way you want them to look. There is no wrong or right way. It's your own creation.

Katy
Try making small white circles of fondant for his eyes to go on the black you already have on your elephant. Then with a black marker draw tiny round circles in each far right & far left corner of the white circles. Place on black circles. This will give more "expression" to his face....make his eyes pop. Hope I have explained myself correctly.

I don't think he looks scary at all.  He's so cute.  Don't worry about what the one in the book looks like.  None of the ones I tried look exactly like what I was trying to copy.  Who cares?  It's just like a recipe, we all put our own twist so always slightly different.  You did a wonderful job and you are going to find that the next will be easier.  Keep them coming.
