It should be a little thicker than what you ice your cake with. What flower are you making???
WOW, Betty, It is so nice to meet you in person! That is what it feels like, now you have a face, lol
But I have another question also. I found my tip #81, but so far , no matter how thick I make my buttercream, it won't hold it's shape. Do I just keep making it thicker???
Thanks Gali,Katy,Adrian,..&..Inoka..Can't remember which tip these were. I make a daisies with different ones. Either a 81 or a small rose tip. With the rose tip, ( I make mine different than what they show in Wilton book) I use a flower nail & wax paper...start in center of nail ( thin tip edge up) & sweep out & then back to center again, continue creating as many pedals as you want all the way around.Hope this makes sense.
What a beautiful cake Betty. Your ruffles are perfect. What am I saying? All of your piping is sheer perfection.
