Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hubby requested a coconut cake for his birthday but didn't care if it was decorated or not. Made him this pina colada cake/pineapple & toasted coconut filling/coconut rum swiss meringue buttercream. Decided to practice piping and as you can see need much more practice. I'm going to try with abc to see if I can do a better job. The Swiss Meringue was just melting. ughh Oh well.

Tx Katy.  I actually looked at his cakes & Linda's too before I did this.

Gorgeous Goreti.  I have to say, as soon as the pic came up on my screen, my first thought was - oh this looks a lot like that one that Tim did.  So you managed the style jolly well

Tx Anne.  Do you know that I have no idea what tip I used.  Isn't that awful.

Goreti this is beautiful, I love the colors.  What was tip that u used for the outer circle in the middle?  Yup, I was wondering what happened to Linda, she is very quiet.

Tx Gail.  I was trying to do a cake "Tim & Linda" style.  Not anywhere as good as theirs but I'm actually pretty happy with the overall look.  The piping quality is not quite where I would like it to be but I have a really hard time piping especially Swiss Meringue.
