Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is my first try making gum paste figurines. Made a mold from gum paste of one of my daughter's Barbie dolls face (she is 25 but saved her Barbies). Everything else I just shaped as best I could. Not happy with the wings. May remove these and try again. I think the shape is wrong. What do you think?

Oh, good grief!  Wish I was close enough for you to throw them my way :o)

This is adorable and you are just too critical of yourself.

Nice job with the fairy. Isn't Linda wonderful, she is always so helpful.

Thanks Linda.  I liked the wings until I put them on.  Now I'm doubting myself as usual. I'll probably play around and see if I can come up with something I like better.

Awwww! What a cutie! What kind of wings are your thinking of, Goreti? If they are like a butterfly type wing, do an image search on google for butterflies and you will find every shape of wings possilbe. Just print out whatever trips your trigger and there you have it! An instant pattern. If you need to resize it, you can always edit any picture with your paint program and then print it out to the size you want it to be. I'll bet you could even google fairy wings and get the same results. No matter what, it's adorable just as is!
