Test run on a sugar bottle for my next cake... not sure if I'm sticking with the green or brown bottle. ::fingers crossed::

We made a mold at home with latex.
Sugar recipe: http://cakecentral.com/t/9570/sugar-glass-recipe (I omitted the Cream of Tartar).

Edit: I should also mention I used half of the recipe for one bottle and still had sugar left over. (Full size Corona bottle).
While cooking the sugar I kept a brush and water near by. Wipe around the edges of where the sugar and pot meet to clear any crystallization.

The bottle is hollow. Since the mold was made with the bottle standing up, the bottom was a hole. We poured the sugar in. Coated the bottle as evenly as possible and poured out excess. Very hot so need to be careful. Oven mitts/gloves recommended.

Nice job.  I've yet to attempt any sugar glass stuff.  I presume that the bottle is solid and not hollow?
