We need more hours in the day , I want to do so much but I do love caking , and I do have about 20 booked in for next year already and quite a few for the rest to this year.
I often go through my cake books , my portfolio , it's amazing how many you forget you did

Surprisingly not really , have dabbled with wood carving and made a coffee table in the shape of an osprey catching a salmon from the water , was good but used the wrong wood and it split too much as it dried out , have done glass and mirror engraving , lots of pencil drawings and some water colours and some acrylic paintings. Built my conservatory from scratch , relandscaped the garden a 14ft square shed and a play house for the grand kids they can climb up and over it with a slide down one side , not much .
My flare erupted when I started caking and have not looked back

Martin, I am curious....do you sculpt in any other medium, other than cakes? With your talent, I would imaging your house is filled with your art works.

Sky's the limit !!

She came close once to understanding , we both delivered a cake which was a replica of my brothers local pub , the landlord was celebrating 40 years as landlord , the landlords daughter was on Skype from New Zealand and there was tears and crying all over the place ! And my brother was so excited about presenting the cake it was quite funny .
She admitted then that she could see why I did it !
But she won't admit that now , lol

She's cool ! She doesn't understand the passion behind it and probably never will !
She rolls her eyes when I start talking cake !! So I try not to , but sometimes you have to let it all out and I will give her a look and we burst out laughing , then I carry on !!
