I made this birthday cake for my sister. Our room was decorated in this theme when we were little girls and she still loves this vintage doll. The doll was made from modeling chocolate and fondant...mostly modeling chocolate though, close to a pound.

I do not know how the originals were made.  Mama always made her white dolls with orange hair and her black dolls with black hair.  I bet your sis was thrilled with her find!

Sandra my sister, who is almost 40 now just loves all things vintage.  She is trying to find an old Raggedy Ann an Andy to go in her "antique room".  She said while she was looking that she found one of the first one's made, VERY expensive, but that it had brown hair so the first ones I guess started out with brown hair.

Wonderful job, Angel!  I love your Raggedy Ann.  My Mom used to make beautiful Raggedy Anns and Raggedy Andys and sell them for a little extra money.  I think everyone still has theirs, 40 + years later.
