Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I saw a cake by another cake decorator (iambaker.net) that when you cut it open it looked like an ornament was in the middle. This is my version, my sister-in-law likes angels. I know, not great but it is supposed to be an angel. The outside is called ruffles but it reminds me of christmas ribbon candy. I think this technique came from Martha Stewart (but not really sure).

Well- having looked at those tutorials on the links you posted, all I can say is you must have the patience of an angel to do this.
