Baby shower cake for my niece's baby shower today. The usual wasc cake w/almond buttercream. Baby carriage cake topper & heart welcome plaque were made using Wilton Shape & Amaze. Cake board/stand was hand crafted as well.

Oh & yes Betty, those are hearts made with a #16 tip. I found/used this tutorial, (https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OCU3qPD6eco/TKY58lORI4I/AAAAAAAA...) Mine didn't come out as pretty as these but....

There was no doubt in my mind that they would love it even before I saw the cake.

Awe...you're so sweet Gali. Thank you so much Luz. Betty, the shower was great & my niece, along w/everyone else loved the cake. I was wondering how I was going to pull this off b/c my a/c system went out this past Monday for the 2nd time in the past 2 weeks. Had it checked out & turns out it's not an easy fix so to avoid damaging it further just not running it at all. We have a portable a/c we had gotten after Katrina & we purchased another small window unit. Those along w/a variety of fans are helping w/this Louisiana heat. We've been able to keep the temps inside 3 main rooms of the house @ 82 during the day & 77 @ nite. I waited til late Thursday nite to bake when things cooled down a bit b/c I knew the oven would raise the temps inside again. Also waited til late Friday nite to start decorating b/c of humidity. I was thinking back to how perturbed I was @ my sis-in-law for being so picky & not wanting the cake covered in fondant but now I'm glad. Humidity is a lot harsher on fondant & it probly could have turned into a nightmare. Everything happens for a reason :)
