Birthday cake for my great-nephew's 2nd birthday. Unfortunately it looks like Gru has been out celebrating Cinco de Maio a little early. He keeps falling and has already damaged the top of the cake. Don't know what I'm going to do.

Tx Katy.  That is what I was thinking of doing today.  I took him off last night before he ended falling & breaking.  I probably should have put him on the board where I could attach him to both the cake & board but was hoping he would stay put.

Yes Katy...good suggestion. RI dries so hard...like a rock....Mr Gru won't go anywhere...

Goreti, I can't see any damage either, but if he won't stay up try this.  I had the same problem with my Rastamouse.  Make up a little royal icing and put it under his feet.  Hold him upright until the icing dries, it will hold him in place.  Worked for me.

Thanks Betty.  Had to do some patching up next to Gru's feet.  Just hope he stays on till the party (tomorrow).
