This was the first time to try the whole thing; starting from baking a cake, filling it, making the fondant and frosting the cake.
It's a plain vanilla sponge cake with three layers filling of different flavours of buttercream. The bottom layer was chocolate, middle one coffee with hazelnut and the top one was vanilla. The fondant is home-made from marshmallows & powder sugar... I didn't have food colours at the time, so I picked coloured packages of fondant.
Turned out to be nice for a first attempt!

Glad Katy found this one, Mai. It is very pretty - great design.
Just come across this by accident really and can I say what a wonderful job you made of it. This is lovely by any standards, but for a first, it's amazing.
Very pretty cake, sounds delicious too!
