This is a 3 layer Chocolate Mayonnaise cake filled with real butter butter cream vanilla icing and covered with Chocolate MMF. After covering the entire cake with vanilla butter cream, I cut strips of rolled chocolate fondant into 2" wide strips and started laying them onto the cake. Once I was done, it looked like a cake covered in tootsie rolls, which I did not like, so I used bronze sheen and air brushed the whole thing to get away from the tootsie roll look. I wanted it to have a fabric 'feel' to it, so I went with ribbon roses made with copper colored fondant, and then colored fondant with a combination of yellow and brown for the ribbon at the bottom. I love texture, so I rolled the fondant over a real cloth ribbon for some texture, then painted it all with pearl sheen liquid air brush color, and then added the tiny copper flowers onto the ribbon. The big ribbon leafs are colored with avocado food paste. Thanks for looking!

Well you did a great job
It was something different to try out June. I had never don the pleating before, nor had I ever made chocolate fondant, so it was a first on two things.
Very pretty
Thank you Gail!
PRETTY CAKE ! LOVE THE SHEEN
Thank you Nadia! Goreti, you better tell Gail about that one. She would go nuts making fruit roses!
I used to make them out of fruit by the foot for my children's cakes when they were younger. I would buy different flavors so that I could make them in different colors.
Linda,This is absolutely adorable!!!!
Goreti, it is the easiest thing in the whole wide world to do. They are 'my kind of roses' lol!
