Using a full size skeleton from party city I screwed the feet to the top of a cement form cut in half from Home Depot and a wooden base all is sitting on. The top and three sides of chest are wooden covered in mm fondant. The front is the only panel that is not wood underneath. This was the only way the cake would be sturdy enough to hold the weight of the skeleton. A PVC pipe holds the skeleton up at the back. Coins were chocolate candies covered with foil bought from Walgreens. Shells and jewels are made of mm fondant.
