The witch was a little over a foot tall. Her body and face were made with a combination of RKT and fondant and then I used various petal dusts to color her face. I had so much fun modelling and creating her face! The cauldron was carved from several 8” vanilla cakes. The eyeballs, snakes, fingers , flames and pumpkins were all made with fondant. I used a plastic candy mold for the rat. It was RKT and then covered in fondant. The centipede was a store-bought gummy. (Yes, I cheated on that one ;-)). The dry ice was placed in a container in the center of the cake. The “brew” inside and oozing down the side of the cauldron was piping gel that I colored green. Fun!

Gail, I looked at your witch. Great job! Isn't it fun making something look so ugly? hehe I made this last halloween but I thought I'd post it since it's that time of year again :)
yes Katy , love it ! my witch's sister is here ! wowhoo i knew she'd come lol
COOL CAKE ; )
Haha - Diane, do you know who Marty Feldman was? A british comedian with a very weird face. This old bag is an absolute ringer for him. Wait till Gail sees this one, she is going to LOVE it.
For anyone who doesn't know Marty Feldman - here he is, see what I mean?
LOL Thanks Linda :)) She IS one ugly "hag", for sure! But do take notice! I made sure to give her (and her pet rat) a pearl necklace! There's a beautiful, hidden, poetic meaning behind the pearls adorning such wicked beings.... pffffttt!... NOT! I just thought it would be funny! *snort*
Oh my, I NEED to get some sleep! Too many cakes and not enough sleep make a silly, rambling girl... G'night all :)
She certainly did. This is awesome
Diane, you captured that 'hag' look to a T!!
